Write comment (0 Comments)ON 7th July the Church of England Synod voted to allow a trial of same sex church blessings as a standalone service.
The whole idea of a trial is absolutely ridiculous. Do they think us stupid? Once a relationship is blessed, it is an act done.
There is a force that is working to push open acceptance of same-sexual activity on the whole of the Church of England not withstanding the current cannon Law regarding marriage being between a man and woman. It is a sneaky back-door tactic. It is being led by the top hierarchy of the Church. The Archbishop,Justin Welby, said himself that he urges those who oppose this move (which he fully supports), not to walk away. It is no really an act of someone who want to retain the unity of the Church of England and he seems to be indifferent to the reaction of Bible believing Christians in the church.
The next stage coming in February 2025 will be a full approval of active same sex relationships with the the clergy who task it is to lead the congregations. At least then, those who are living a lie may be able to sleep easier with their conscience- if they also ignore the Word of God.
Currently the clergy at St Giles Church, Northampton have yet to share their stance on this matter and many of the parishioners are waiting!
