A song of Mountains and Love
Do you recall? Do you remember that day,
When we walked through the mountain mists so grey…
On moss covered granite and mineralled schist
All covered with cloud and Carneddau mist?
It veiled the valleys far below, where rivulets and streamlets flow,
And long maned ponies roam and graze the peatlands in the mountain haze.
We paused awhile without a view, with only me and only you,
The clouds around obscuring all, save edge of ridge and craggy wall.
It was as though our quietest thoughts were clinging to the reeds,
Like dewdrops on the verdant blades, which swayed upon the breeze
Some thoughts were shared of memories and people loved yet gone
And how we love those people still… and still we sing their song…
A song of love… A song of mists… A song of mountain streams…
The song of YOU… and memories… and ever treasured dreams.
A thousand richly rainbowed thoughts are mirrored in the dew.
A thousand treasured memories which make us think of you
In loving memory …
